La Française GIS develops an asset management expertise based on all asset classes through highly experienced teams coming from asset management and investment banking businesses.
Renaud joined LFIS in January 2013 from AXA IM Structured Finance where he spent five years.
Prior joining LFIS, Renaud co-headed the corporate credit team at AXA IM Structured Finance where he was in charge of the non-traditional corporate credit platform, from 2010 to 2012. From 2002 to 2007, he was in charge of the credit team (research and portfolio management) at Allianz Global Investors France, reporting to the head of fixed income. He then served, from 2007 to 2010, as senior portfolio manager within the structured credit investment team managing funds and investing in CDOs and regulatory capital transactions across the capital structure. He started his career at DWS France where he was head of money markets and credit funds.
Renaud graduated from HEC and ENSAE.
Stéphanie joined LFIS in September 2014.
Stéphanie is a multi-asset class credit expert, with expertise in credit analysis and fund management in European and US markets. Stéphanie’s expertise includes mid cap private financing, leveraged loans, infrastructure debt, banks, covered bonds and structured finance. She has 10 years of buy side experience at AXA Investment Managers and 6 years of credit rating experience at Moody’s.
Stéphanie graduated from EDHEC and also holds a diploma of the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF) and of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA).
Michael joined LFIS in September 2015.
Michael is a credit derivatives expert with deep trading, technological and mathematical skills, and cross-asset expertise. Michael previously served as a senior correlation Trader at Société Générale, from 2005 to 2011, where he was responsible for the correlation book. He then headed the US credit equity prop trading desk at BNP Paribas from 2011 to 2014, setting up statistical credit-equity arbitrage strategies based on quantitative signal detections and fundamental analysis.
Michael graduated from Telecom Sud Paris and also holds a Master’s degree in Probability and Finance from Paris VI University.
Pierre joined LFIS in August 2018.
Pierre began his career in 2008 in the credit derivatives structuring team of Société Générale in London. In 2009, he then served as a structured credit trader in the French bank, where he was in charge, among other things, of risk managing the structured credit book and rebalancing the macro positions of the credit derivatives book. In 2016, he moved to the high yield credit trading desk of Société Générale in London, where he developed the client franchise on both synthetic and cash instruments and managed the legacy books.
Pierre graduated from ESCP and from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers (ENSAM).
Absolute Return Strategies
Guillaume joined LFIS in January 2013.
Guillaume worked at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (“SGCIB”) from 2002 as an Equity Derivatives Proprietary Trader where he was in charge of the volatility activities. He then joined Crédit Agricole Corporate Investment Banking (“CACIB”), where he was in charge of the Equity Derivatives Proprietary Trading. Guillaume spent 6 years at CACIB starting 2006 as the Global Head of the Equity Derivatives Structured and Flow Trading, in which he was deeply involved in the development of a product range from vanilla products to structured products.
Guillaume graduated from engineering school Ecole des Mines of Paris.
Gaëtan joined LFIS as a Portfolio Manager in May 2017.
Gaëtan began his career in 2014 as an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Belaco Capital, a commodities hedge fund, where he participated in investment decision making and implemented new derivatives-based investment strategies. Gaëtan joined the Middle Office team at La Française Global Asset Management in January 2015, with a focus on LFIS’ funds.
Gaëtan holds Master’s Degrees in Economy and International Finance, and in Bank, Finance & International Trading from Montesquieu Bordeaux IV University.
Yann joined LFIS in January 2015.
Yann started as a proprietary dispersion trader in 2005 at BNP Paribas. Yann successfully developed and led the Equity Exotic Trading activity in Europe for 5 years. Prior to LFIS, Yann spent 9 years at HSBC trading and managing Equity Derivatives Trading desks. In his last role for HSBC in New York, he headed the Equity Derivatives Trading for Americas; he was then in charge of both Structured and Flow Equity Derivatives Trading for North and Latin America.
Yann graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and also holds a Master’s degree in financial Engineering from Paris Dauphine University.
Simon joined LFIS as a Portfolio Manager in February 2013.
He previously worked at Lyxor AM in quantitative management, at La Française des Placements in financial engineering and at Goldman Sachs in London in structuration. Simon started in LFIS as a portfolio manager in the Fund Solution team, and joined the absolute return strategies team in December 2016.
Simon graduated from Ecole Centrale Lyon in 2012. He also holds a Master’s degree in International Finance from HEC.
Yann joined LFIS in September 2013 as a portfolio manager for the premia funds and credit analyst.
Yann came from BRED Banque Populaire where he was in charge of option arbitrage on the major European equity indices. After that he spent three years trading credit (cash and derivatives) and convertible bonds from various points of view (arbitrage, outright investing, event-driven and other special situations).
Yann graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers and IAE.
Alexandre joined LFIS in June 2015 as a Junior Risk Manager and subsequently joined the Absolute Return team in the role of analyst.
Alexandre previously spent five months at CACIB on the convertible bond trading and research desk as an intern in 2013. He then joined THEAM for his final study internship in 2014 in a Front-Office Developer and Support role. Alexandre then spent six months in the financial engineering team focused on equity derivatives at CACIB.
Alexandre graduated from engineering school EISTI in 2014 and holds a dual MSc degree in Financial Engineering from the University of Montreal.
Edouard joined LFIS as a Portfolio Manager in September 2012.
Edouard started his career as an Equity Derivatives structurer at Société Générale in 2005. He then joined Deutsche Bank as a structurer within their Equity Derivatives departments, in which he developed investment and hedging solutions for institutional clients and hedge funds and became the manager of this team in Hong-Kong. Edouard joined Morgan Stanley Hong Kong as an Equity Derivatives trader on July, 2011.
Edouard graduated from Ecole Polytechnique. He also holds a Master’s degree in Probability and Finance from Paris VI University.
Manel joined LFIS as a Portfolio Manager in February 2015.
Manel previously worked at Société Générale in Proprietary and Equity Flow Trading, at Natixis in Fixed Income Inflation Trading and at BNP Paribas in Equity Structuring.
Manel graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris in 2012 and also holds a Master’s degree in Probability and Finance from Paris VII University.
Achille joined LFIS as a Portfolio Manager in September 2016.
Prior to joining the Group, Achille worked for Société Générale’s proprietary trading team in New York from 2011 to 2012 with a focus on credit derivatives. He then spent four years as a financial engineer in other divisions of the La Française Group, including three years with LFGI, and nine months within the Group’s traditional asset management division, La Française Global Asset Management.
Achille graduated from Ecole des Mines de Nancy and also holds a Master of Arts in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University.
Luc joined LFIS in September 2013.
In 1998, Luc started his career as an equity portfolio manager. From 2004 to 2011, he was in charge of the Absolute Return management at Sinopia where he developed quantitative strategies such as Global Bond Market Neutral, Currency Overlay, Global Tactical Asset Allocation, and Multi Government Bonds. After that, Luc was Head of the Absolute Return management at HSBC AM. Luc also leads the « Portfolio Management » class at the SFAF (French Society of Financial Analysts) since 2002 and at the AFG (French Asset Management Association) since 2011.
Luc holds a Master’s degree of Economy and also a Master’s degree in Money, Bank and Finance from Pantheon-Sorbonne University.
Quantitative Research and Development
Guillaume joined LFIS in February 2013.
Guillaume worked at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (“SGCIB”) for 3 years as an Equity Proprietary Trader. He was in charge of the development of systematic strategies on European equities. Prior to LFIS, he spent 4 years at Avenir Finance IM as a quantitative Portfolio Manager.
Guillaume graduated from Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon. He also holds a Master’s degree in Probability and Finance from Paris VI University.
Christian joined LFIS as a Senior Quantitative Analyst in March 2017.
Christian began his career in 2011 as an Analyst at Natixis Asset Management in Paris. Christian spent one year at Deutsche Bank and, most recently, over three years Thomson Reuters in Paris as a Senior Quantitative Analyst.
Christian graduated from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan. He also holds a Master’s degree in Probability and Finance from Paris VI University.
François-Xavier joined LFIS as a Quantitative Analyst in February 2013.
Prior to LFIS, François-Xavier worked at Barclays Investment Bank in London and BNP Paribas Corporate Investment Banking (“BNP CIB”) in Paris in Quantitative Analytics.
François-Xavier graduated from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE ParisTech). He also holds a Master’s degree in Probability and Finance from Paris VI University and an Engineering degree from Telecom Bretagne.
Alexandre joined LFIS as a Quantitative Analyst in July 2015.
Alexandre started his career in 2007 as a Quantitative Analyst in Credit Derivatives at CPR Asset Management. From 2008 to 2014, Alexandre held similar positions at AXA Investment Managers (from 2012 to 2014), HSBC (from 2011 to 2012) and Credit Agricole (from 2008 to 2010). Prior to joining LFIS, Alexandre spent a year at Natixis as a Front Office Information Technology Developer.
Alexandre holds a Master’s degree in Financial Engineering from Ecole Supérieure d’Ingérieurs Léonard de Vinci (ESILV).
Mario joined LFIS as a Quantitative Analyst in August 2017.
Prior to LFIS, Mario worked as a software engineer at eFront Solutions, a role he held since December 2015. eFront is a leading provider of software solutions for the financial industry with recognized expertise in alternative investments and risk management.
Mario has degrees in mathematics from University Paris Diderot, the University of Paris-Orsay and Ecole Polytechnique and holds an undergraduate degree in system engineering from the National University of Engineering in Lima, Peru.
Product Structuring and Corporate Functions
Thouraya joined LFIS at the beginning of 2013 as member of the Executive Board and currently serves as Deputy CEO and Head of Product Structuring, Legal and Operations.
Thouraya began her career at BNP Paribas Equity Derivatives where she was an IT exchange trading tools engineer from 1993 to 1997, Global front office COO from 1998 to 2002 and Senior Fund Structuring Manager from 2002 to 2005. Thouraya then served on the Management Board and as Global Head of Engineering at Lyxor Asset Management (a full subsidiary of the Société Générale Group) from 2005 through 2013.
Thouraya holds an engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Telecoms de Paris and from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers.
Julia joined LFIS in April 2015 as Head of Legal.
Julia was an associate for six years at Clifford Chance in Paris within the Finance department (Structured Finance & Capital Markets Group) and was a member of the Paris Bar (CRFPA in 1997, CAPA in 1999). Julia spent six years in AXA Investment Managers’ legal department working for the Structured Finance Division. Prior to joining LFIS, Julia led the Products and Structuring team for regulated products of AXA Real Estate since January 2012.
Julia holds a Business Degree from INSEEC Paris and a Master in Banking and Finance Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.
Christophe joined LFIS in October 2012.
Christophe started his career in 2001 as financial lawyer within Société Générale Corporate Investment Banking (“SGCIB”) for Global Equity & Index Derivatives and Lyxor. From 2006 to 2010, he was legal specialist within Amundi Investment Solutions (formely know as Credit Agricole Structured Asset Management) and head of legal for the managed account platform since 2008. He then worked at Crédit Agricole Corporate Investment Banking (“CACIB”) where he was working as structurer & product developer for Global Equity Derivatives.
Christophe holds a DEA in economic law (Paris I) and a LLM in economic law.
Philippe joined LFIS in September 2014.
Philippe started his career at Société Générale in 2007, within New York Middle Offices teams. In 2008 he joined the Exotic Equity Structured Products Middle Office in Paris as analyst, then became responsible of the team in 2010. Starting 2012, he also supervised the Exotic Rates Derivatives Middle Office on top of the Exotic Equity Structured Products Middle Office.
Philippe graduated from EDHEC Business School.
Stéphane joined LFIS in August 2018.
Stéphane began his career at Indosuez in 1995, in fixed income derivatives. In 1988, he joined BNP Paribas Arbitrage as an IT engineer focused on exchange trading tools, and subsequently participated in establishing the equity finance business. From 2003 to 2006, he worked as an Inspector for the French financial markets regulatory body, the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (“AMF”). In 2006, Stéphane joined Lyxor as a senior fund structurer, responsible for ETFs and index funds. In 2014, he moved to Société Générale, as regulatory program manager for the Corporate and Investment Banking business.
Stéphane graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Electronique, d'Electrotechnique, d'Informatique et d'Hydraulique de Toulouse. He also holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Toulouse business school.
